Q&A: How can I install multiple operating systems?

Question by Zach Fullmer: How can I install multiple operating systems?
I’m currently trying to install two operating systems on my pc: Windows 7 (which is already installed), and either Windows XP or Windows 98, whichever one works. However, I’m definitely not doing it right. What I’ve done so far is shrink my C:\ drive partition and left 10 GB of unallocated space. But the installation still won’t work for 98 or XP. Any ideas?

I don’t have much experience with it as I have never done it before, but I may have an idea. I think you need to put the os on two different drives/partitions. So like change in your BIOS menu to boot to the other drive and have your disk in ready to install.

If you are facing problems with regular installation then try using virtualbox.
Download sun virtualbox and create a virtual machine in it.
Actually, virtualbox creates a layer and run the operating system in that layer. You will have another operating system in the existing one.
The process is very simple and there is no way to destroying some data during installation as regular installation. With virtualbox you will have your operating system as other programs
