Do you have to uninstall all office suite programs before installing Office Professional 2007?

Question by Tapas: Do you have to uninstall all office suite programs before installing Office Professional 2007?
Some programs won’t work if you don’t uninstall all other versions. I guess I also mean the trial versions that come with a new computer and are already installed. Also, my office pro 2003? I could call MS directly, but they always want so much information to answer one simple Q.

You should uninstall any previous versions of the same software!

Just try running the installer. It should prompt you to uninstall anything that needs to be uninstalled.

Hey Tapas, as far as I know, you do NOT have to uninstall any older versions of MS Office..

I have both the registered version of 2003, and 2007.

Hi, there.

Please make sure that there can’t be two Micro Office installed on your computer. So, you just need to install the Office Professional 2007 so as to cover the old version automatically.

Or, you can uninstall the old version, Office 2003, with a uninstaller provided in the lin. Then, reinstall the Office Professional 2007 after the removal.
